Those were not signing day flips........I'm pretty sure Simmons never committed to om. Lewis decommitted several days before and picked State on signing day and Gay definitely decomitted weeks before. I'm not talking about the normal course of recruiting that all schools fight for. I'm talking about the annual signing day flip that om goes after just to say they got one. Many times it's not even a particularly special player. It has become amusing to watch them play their game and bet on which one it will be.
I'm just talking about the socalled signing day flips. I will see if I can get it together for you. I'm sure it will make you proud.
Give us a list of the last five signing day flips and what happened to them.
What is funny is that every year now the MSU people have learned that this is a game that om plays leading up to signing day. om picks one player that they think they can get to flip and they orchestrate this signing day drama. Somebody told them that it makes them appear to have some kind of power over the bad ole hicks down south. It doesn't matter if this player has any particular value to them, they just want a flip. What they don't understand is that the MSU people know it's coming and it has become somewhat of a game to watch them maneuver and make predictions on who it will be. The nation is laughing at the childishness of a bunch of juveniles that think that they pulled one over on somebody. I would love to see a follow up on each one of these flippers of the last 10 years to see what their success rate was. My guess is that there is a direct correlation between the willingness to be a part of such games and lack of success.
