As an alabama fan, I will always hate tennessee. As a football fan, im loving enjoying yalls excitement vicariously. Tennessee fans definitely deserve this season, and college football as a whole is better when Tennessee is good.

I doubt it will be much of anything. The NCAA is powerless right now and just doing their best to keep their hand in the pot that is college football. They know the time is coming when the major (money) programs will seperate from the NCAA, and they arwnt trying to do anything to rock the boat and speed that process. Nor are they trying to get sued by "student athletes" over breaking rules that are now legal

Ive been listening to the sports talk radio shows every day waiting for it to be brought up, but noone seems to be talking about these issues
This opens up pandoras box. Something I've been thinking about for the past month or so.
If they shut down the season, do all the players lose a year of eligibility? Meaning seniors who have already used their redshirt are now put out, and many lose their last chance to earn an NFL spot.
Or do we give them another year of eligibility? That's fair to them, but screws the underclassmen who were waiting for their chance. Players who transferred in or chose not to transfer out because they knew that the spot was going to open up.
Or do we give everyone another year of eligibility? This includes a full recruiting class that just arrived and leaves no scholarship room for next years recruits.

I think it has to do with who Bama plays in that 1 game. Suspending them against USC would be a huge statement that no one is above reproach
I completely agree. Sit them for the first 2 games of the season, put a. Even stricter curfew on them, and make them earn their way back on in to the field.
