Diehard UGA guy here. I understand these writers need something to write about. Something to keep people coming back to the page. So me asking them to chill out on all this Bama vs UGA in the SECCG will fall on deaf ears. However, as a diehard, I've had wayyyyy more than my fair share of dissapointment. Every year, I have high hopes and high expectations, only to lose two or three games they shouldn't lose. Whether it was to UF, Tennessee, South Carolina, Tech or even Vandy! I decided before this season, that would not be the case. I need them to prove it to me. I'm expecting an 8-5 or 9-4 type year. I've been happy and impressed thus far. But can we stop worrying about Bama? Or Florida? Or Auburn? Let's just beat Vandy this weekend....
Cluck cluck cluck... I'm surprised SC fans even remember how to turn a computer on. They've obviously forgot they lost to UGA at home...and that was after mother nature even tried to bail them out!
You've obviously forgot about the 576 yards UGA put up last year when Greyson Lambert (who?!) set an NCAA passing record. If you thought that was fun...just watch Eason.
Wouldn't it be funny if UT's luck ran out and UF backed their way into the SECCG?
You've also faced UGA without, arguably, the best running back in the conference two years in a row..... UGA's 2nd and 3rd string backs out rushed everyone on Tennessee's team. Can you image if Chubb had played?
You'd better be worried about the 2nd weekend in October.
Man, this is a tough one. Not a fan of either team, but defiantly two sides to this coin... I'd like to point out, the projected weather forecast for Gainesville on Saturday at noon is 81 degrees, partly cloudy and 0% chance of rain. Now, I get postponing the game. If the storm has the destruction that the media has led us to believe will happen, playing a football game despite casualties and damages that "WOULD/COULD" have occurred would be in poor taste with the resources going to the game could go to relief efforts. On the other hand, and as sad as it is, the more likely issue, is good ol' greed. No one is in disagreement that this game should, at the very least, be postponed. But it could of been played a day later (a la UGA/USC) or played at a different location where you use their resources. However, UF didn't want to give up a home game. Lost revenue for the city, the university, etc. Meanwhile, they proposed a makeup date of November 19th but LSU doesn't want to pay the the $1.5 million payout to South Alabama and give up a home game. Again, more lost revenue for the city, university, etc. This has nothing to do with the well-being of a state and its citizens. Just greed. All about the $$$!

On a side note, speaking of $$$...funny how fast Tim Brando will flip flop on the SEC once he's being paid by someone else....
Would you please stop with this "leave your family at home" garbage. Let me spell it out for you...this is all about $$$! Nothing to do with the well-being of families. Just good ol' fashioned greed. UF doesn't want to give up a home game and LSU doesn't want to either (make up date). Period! End of discussion.
Has there been any talk of issues with the weather for this game?
I'm surprised you know what the word moral is...seeing as how you lack them.
Wait a second...is that an incest hillbilly Tennessee buttchugger talking about class?! So explain this to me...if Hobbnail boot is classless, what does that make "dobbsnail boot"? Even in your best attempt, which was to unoriginal, you've only contradicted yourself. And speaking of classless...making fun of a dead guy is classy? The way I see it, you're still talking about a legend that has been dead for years...when you guys are dead...no one will care!
Mythic - what in the heck are you talking about? "While I’ll give you Alabama because they have looked dominant, they haven’t played anyone." " then beat a legit Ole Miss team." "It’s honestly unfair to leave Ole Miss out of the discussion. They are an incredibly good team still." So how is it that Alabama hasn't played anyone, yet they beat Ole Miss. A team that you said is "legit" and "incredibly good". How many butt chugs did you do before you wrote that?
Also, let me help you...its spelled GEORGIA!
HA! A loss and plenty of empty seats! Continue being the redheaded step child of the SEC!
Tigrito - my apologizes. I hope I didn't hurt your feeling. I hear there is a nice "safe space" on Missouri's campus you can hang out at if that's the case. Based on you calling me dumb, I might need a ticket to get into that safe space...sounds like it's easy to get tickets to things around your campus. Furthermore, we are talking about football on this message board. Based on your theory here, I suppose football fans are less intelligent people than people who are not football fans. So what does this make you? A name calling, not so fanatical, Missouri FOOTBALL fan...??
Packed? What about the 15,000 (in a 70,000 seat stadium) that went unsold? That's about 20%...what kind of math are they teaching in Missouri?
A prestigious marathon that he, unlike all the other participants, didn't qualify for.....
Aaaaaaaaand there's the point! UT views winning as more important than sexual assault.
Guys, Don't let GeorgiaBdFan3 get to you. He is either a troll or not very smart. In a post above, he mentions that Georgia "couldn't win in the weak west". His post of bogus.
"Several breaks fell the Gamecocks’ way: The ball bounced in South Carolina’s direction — as it often does at Williams-Brice Stadium" So the refs wear USC gear under their stripes? Glad it happens to other teams and not just UGA. Georgia's secondary did play bad, but the refs didn't help them. The Gurley TD..come on. There was no holding there...and speaking of holding...USC was getting away with murder on the O-line in the first half. That's why Georgia's front 7 couldn't get any pressure on Dylan Thompson. Of course he'll have a big game when (the officials) give him time to pick the secondary apart. How much did that win cost?
