Propst? You mean the guy who head butted his kicker in a fit of rage and didn't receive any punishment. Couldn't care less what that "big man" thinks...
I think the better move for the SEC would be to go after FSU and Miami. I know UF would probably block it, but they make the most sense. Re-alignment would be as simple as moving Mizzou to the West, where it belongs.
Not exactly something to be proud of as a conference. Of the "Big 5," the only conference that had fewer schools on the list is the Big12. Of course they have four fewer schools than the SEC...
Maybe Mike and Mike haven't heard of that thing AL Gore invented. No, not Global Warming, the Internet. There is no such thing as a kid that doesn't get seen anymore.
You are correct, but ESPN gets the largest share of the bill among non-premium channels.
First, it's the umpire, not the back judge. Secondly, the team should forfeit the rest of the season. There is no way those players coordinated the attack to have one knock him down and the second spear him after on their own. I'd be willing to bet that the play was immediately preceded by a timeout, at which time the coaches cooked up the plan to take out an official who was clearly at fault for them losing the game[/sarc]. All parties involved should be charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit a felony. Short of that, the officials should refuse to officiate ANY game involving the school.
Are the athletic departments in question running deficits? Are general funds that come from taxes or tuition used to supplement the athletic department? Also, how does being successful in athletics affect new student application numbers and the academic quality of new students accepted? Without answering these questions, we can't get a complete picture of the costs and value of athletics at institutions of higher learning.
Larry, hilarious! Twerps! Did you come up with that one yourself? You should be on stage!
