Well in Arkansas's defense before 2012 Texas A&M was an out of conference game. Arkansas also played Texas in 2008 a series that Texas ended up backing out of after 1 year that Arkansas had to find opponents to fill that game with just like they did for the A&M game. Also, other teams of late have cancelled their scheduled series like Michigan. But yeah I will agree I think everyone in the SEC West has one of the toughest schedules year in and year out, not just Arkansas and yeah Arkansas hasn't played a great out of conference schedule.
3-3 is right the record, but they listed Arkansas as losing to East Carolina instead of Arkansas beating them 20-17.
Pretty sure There was a coach between Ron Zook and Will Muschamp.
well he has a&m at 18 but Arizona is listed at 20 and 22
Not being a d*ck, just pointing out that Arkansas does not wear anthracite uniforms as an option anymore. Also, that if you're going to be a sports journalist maybe you should do a little more research before you write an article with errors in it that simplest of a fan can point out. Plus, I'm just freaking excited as hell about Saturday and have nothing else to do football wise till then.
Anthracite was dropped as an alternate uniform option before last season. Should maybe do a little more research, yeah?
More like 7 were assistant coaches, and 1 was a high school head coach, 5 were head coaches, and 1 was an assistant athletic director. But good job SDS.
Jonathan Williams only has 345 total yards receiving.
Nope Never forgot Just Thought i'd Remind your friend that them losing to ecu Isn't that far fetched Especailly since ecu has HistorY of pulling ups
Any harder to believe than them losing to Georgia Southern in the swamp?
Right that's what I thought. 2008 was a good year of football, even though my hogs didn't have a great year.
Pretty sure Alabama was undefeated in 2008.
Yeah I don't understand them being on this list either. They failed to mention how Arkansas destroyed 30-0 as well.
Also Bobby Petrino never won a division title or a conference title while at Arkansas and his 4th season was his best season at Arkansas not his 3rd. So please explain to me why he is on there if we are going by your definition of peak?
Ken Hatfield did not peak in his 2nd season**
Well first off Mr. Brad I never saw the word peaked mentioned in the article you wrote. It just says notable Arkansas head coaches in their 3rd season. So I don't understand where all this peaking talking is coming from. Secondly once Again by your definition of peak Ken Hatfield did not peak in his 3rd season nor did he win a conference title the year before. Secondly there were no divisions when Lou Holtz was coaching at Arkansas and regardless of conference title or not his first season was still his best year. Also, going 9-2 and tying for a conference title and winning a bowl game is definitely better then going 8-3 winning an outright title and losing a bowl game.
Actually your wrong. Ken Hatfield peaked his last two seasons at Arkansas where he went 10-2 and won back to back Southwest Conference Championships. And if you were listing coaches who peaked in their 3rd season then also wrong about listing Lou Holtz, because he actually peaked his first season at Arkansas where he went 11-1 and defeated the heavily favored Oklahoma Sooners in the Orange Bowl. Also Frank Broyles went 9-2 the season before he went 8-3 so either you didn't d your homework or you just making up excuses for as to why you left off Ken Hatfield.
