Great thing about this hire is we must have made the right hire when trolls from other schools are venting! On the right track! And UAT fans… check out T-Town Menswear scandal that the SEC swept under the rug before you sling mud about recruiting issues! Was enough to bury any program except the sacred cow of the SEC! But, the scared cue is coming to an end. GA is now it!
Don’t know… ask Saban about T-Town Menswear and we’ll talk! Biggest paid football scheme short of USC and SMU! But then, the university sent a letter of disassociation AFTER BEING CAUGHT implying they did not know the owner of T-Town, so all is solved! What a noble gesture given the booster was a sideline “guest” of UAT football that “UAT DID NOT KNOW”!! Hmm.. you disassociate with someone you don’t know! Impressive!
Sure, but he lost every other important game of the year! 4 losses each year to biggest SEC foes!
If I recall correctly, UAT had the same issue following Bear and will have a bigger problem once Saban leaves, which will be sooner than later. Exactly how many coaches in UAT’s dumpster fire did you hire and fire ..4-5? Hell, one didn’t even see the field! So, point in your own direction when making ignorant statements! Soon, you will be UT@T.. University of Texas at Tuscaloosa!
Shall we discuss T-Town “Menswear”?!! Guy was a booster on the UAT sideline, who paid UAT “athletes” to sign game balls and jerseys for $$ and free suits! What happened...?? UAT “self-imposed” their punishment by sending A LETTER OF DISASSOCIATION TO A BOOSTER THAT WAS AT FIRST NOT A BOOSTER!! What happened to UAT.. nothing! Let he or she that is without sin cast the first stone! Good luck finding a stone!
Checkmate big boy! So you were wrong both times?
When I see his cheek pad push his jaw to the other side of his helmet, THAT’S TARGETING, and I am fit in regardless of team. I was HS tailback and getting hit like that literally clears your sinuses out if anyone can identify with that? Watch the review and you’ll beg to differ.
If it takes 5-7 minutes to look a a review, you are splitting hairs and unless there is absolute indisputable evidence, then don’t change call. A long review as such tells me going snipe hunting!
Stay away from your cousin, or is it a family reunion on the bayou?!
It means if you hold 2 first round daft pick DL, your offense runs smoothly. Surely I don’t have to explain that to you!
Missed obvious calls are the problem and it is endemic to SEC officiating. It is a problem for all, unless you are in the hunt for the playoffs. Find me one person that says there weren’t an incredible number of OL holding penalties not called. They are going to have another officiating seminar for officials again. Did after last year. I always have understood that if the call is too close to change, then should not be reversed or should be called so as not to affect the outcome of a game.
And MUCH BETTER! Seems to me if over 50% fans want him gone... goodbye. But, we all know the board and president decide and they eat crowe if they buy out his ridiculous contract. What is being missed is if we had not given him that silly contract, we wouldn’t be talking now... the deal would have been done. If my employee who has one good season with his players and he demands a top 10 coaching contract or he will leave, take a hike. Loyalty should be rewarded! Ask Saban... he has no buyout. Doesn’t need one and I’m an AU grad.
Easy response from an UGA fan! You swallow the sane pill as AU and see how you feel big boy!
You are exactly right. Guess who slowed down fast pace offenses because “ players would get tired and subsequently hurt”? Nick Satan!! That’s who as he had it out through the SEC office. Now that stand over the ball at your play clock time to wait for AL to substitute!! Absolute BS!
So Marlon is incompetent? 1st rd pick. Hmm... poor logic!
Auburn was not going to be allowed to knock off GA or LSU because of playoff implications. Al is one they will let fly as al out of it!
Just as bad as LSU game! And Vandy fans, pls not comments as u don’t play football. Just in theory!
Not defense! Not even close. You will have to double team D. Brown along with a running back for insurance. Plus, we had terribly slow linebackers last year. Ones this year can run and have size except Pappoe. That is the difference and is huge versus last year!
That was part of his negotiation not to lose his job after the loss the LSU at home ( that should have been won just like a 20-0 lead in first half the year before at LSU), but most importantly the embarrassing and dismal loss to an awful TN team with a new coach. He offered up the two million as an incentive for Auburn to not fire him even though Board had straw vote to release him. Big question is did Malzahn make lump sum contribution last year, or is it over length of his contract. If not lump sum, then he is NOT PART OF THE AUBURN FAMILY BY NOT GIVING ALL AT ONCE!! That was a great analogy that I read on this thread about him giving as well since we are a family, right? I wound NOT build a new football ONLY due to the idiotic strategy of CA to pay players and subsequently the NCAA! Is not a $130,000 education figured into it? If we pay them , then they need to pay for their schooling, room, board, etc. if they want to live the life of a college student. Can’t have their cake and eat it too. Moot point as college football just died at the hands of the West Coast programs not being able to keep their talent at home. They know best path is through SEC, Big 10, and Big 12 with ACC a distant 4th.
That would be AL... you obviously had us confused with being AL!
Time for Malzahn to leave. He has had 7 years to create his own program and it has never been fantastic other than his first year with other players. We paid him too soon as an elite coach, which he is not. He spends too much time behind the line on offense when they could be playing on the other side of the ball.. see LSU and AL!! The fan response is a tell tale! Auburn fans don’t do that, but his program has been less than entertaining or exciting . Ncaa football has to realize there are other competing firms of entertainment than Auburn or anybody else. It costs a fortune to take a family of 6 to a game. People are choosing to do other things with their Ent. Dollars, watch on tv, when gets bad which is mostly the case, turn it off and enjoy your first choice. Now that we are paying players, they are going to have to play up as well. I think paying is the end of college football. Bad thing about it all, Auburn was listed as seventh most valuable franchise and we do not see anywhere near that in terms of production. Want a good coach that will not be terribly expensive... bill clark at UAB! Doing a lot with nothing.
