Legend has it that Hayden Fry had the visiting team's locker room at Iowa painted pink as a psychological ploy to tame the visitors mood...
I imagine this came with some "encouragement" from VT coaches, but the fact that it came at all is admirable...perhaps there IS hope for the future... Who am I kidding? The future was ALREADY doomed and still is...
(And, yes, before you all pile on to me, players have been involved in much WORSE things at LSU...MOST of them have been suspended until all of the facts were known; a handful have been asked to leave the program for them...not all - I see you Derrious Guice - who should have been were, but many have been...)
Yet ANOTHER punk whose parents failed him...this is a leadership test for Stoops...he knows what the right thing to do is; let's see if he has the stones to do it...
Correction to my post: LSU has 3 non-conference games in 2022 and 4 in 2023...they would have to push one of those 2023 games into the future...presumably, a little cash incentive would get that done...
You are likely correct...The $EC invited TAMU and Mizzou to join the conference in the fall of 2011, and they began conference play in 2012...so, there IS precedent...presumably, that would involve some compensation from the $EC and/or Texas and OU petty cash drawers being paid to the Once-Big-But-Now-Shrinking "12"...the $EC would likely realign its divisions at the same moment it invites Texas and OU to join, and $EC schedules come out less than a year in advance... Right now, for example, the 2022 LSU schedule only shows the three contracted non-conference games...if the 12-game season remains intact and the league goes to a 9-game conference sched, LSU will likely have to reschedule into the future one of the four contracted non-conference games that season...and, when OU joins the league, the 2027 and 2028 games become league games...
While I VERY MUCH enjoyed the games at Legion Field, it still wasn't so much fun as a student at Alabama from 1989 - 1991 having to wake up early on Saturday and drive to Birmingham for a 11AM Jefferson Pilot broadcast vs the likes of UT-Chattanooga...Will still miss the Old Grey Lady, though...
Apparently, Wilson doesn't have the guts to own his actions...instead, Daddy pops up to own them for him...typical...and another reason Marco Wilson is a self-righteously entitled punk...
Actually, NOLA is more like 70-80 miles south of Baton Rouge...trust me, I know from MANY times driving back and forth on the I-10...
UCLA is already on the schedule with a game in the Rose Bowl in 2021 and a return visit to BR in 2024...
What do you expect from a program that can only beat the kupkakes in the Kupkake Konference (AAC)...they couldn't even win that konference this year...just a bunch of deluded morons...
They likely go to the same place in which the Buffalo bills have won four Super Bowls...
When people start tossing your name around for the Heisman Trophy, you should probably begin thinking about purchasing this sort of insurance...I can, though, understand how it might not have crossed Tua's mind...he's young, presuming himself indestructible, etc...perhaps the coaches could do a better job of advising athletes of Tua's caliber...
If Monmouth had been down 1 and the steal and dunk had made the difference in a monumental upset, the announcer would STILL be screaming about how AWESOME it was...(of course, the ensuing technical likely would have resulted in Kansas winning any way)...
Doesn't this qualify as "rat poison" according to Saban? Having the most-ever points in a half in the Saban Era hung on you and the most points given up in 4 quarters EVER at B-D says that y'all have some work to do; so, get to it...
Saban is humorous in the AFLAC commercials because he is just being himself...
Miss St is probably listed only because Mizzou is ineligible for post-season play...
What else do you expect from a university that proposes to build a new stadium when - game after game - visiting fans outnumber the home ones in the one they currently have?
Finebaum asks, "Does LSU have a defense?"...Well...that defense - minus a few key position players - held the #9 ranked offense which had been averaging 533 yards and 38.5 points/game to 159 total yards (140 pass; 19 rush) and 6 points...yeah, LSU has a defense...
LSU gets a noon ET kick in two weeks at Vanderbilt...of course, there will be more purple and gold than black and gold in the stadium that day!!!!
UT's athletic department had the highest revenue in the nation in 2017-18...they're just a bunch of douchebags.....
The kid was just upset because UT was in the process of giving up the most passing yards by ANY QB (Visiting OR Longhorn) EVER..."DBU," my patootie!!! GEAUX, TIGERS!!!
It is a regular occurrence at Vandy that the visiting fans outnumber the home fans...it's quite pathetic...
