I'm afraid only way Drew Lock will get confidence back is when the Oline actually does their job. On the plus side, the fact Lock was rush leader was promising even if it was only 39 yards.

Well, people have stated they want to see what Lock can do. It wasn't going to happen. Mauk getting suspended has made it happen. We're going to find out what Lock can do. I'm sorry for your troubles Maty. Focus on your family brother.

I'd say Kentucky shouldn't be a problem but then they beat South Carolina. Lol

That is actually an interesting thought. One I've shared. Not likely to happen but would be interesting to see.

The other running backs have potential but I think they lack drive. Perhaps without the hope of Hansbrough to come in and save them they'll step their game up. Or, we'll see Maty continue doing one of the things he does best.

I disagree with the missouri drop from 21 to 22. Not entirely because I'm a mizzou guy but because a win is a win and you should never drop standing for winning. Stay in place if it's an ugly win or move up a spot, but move back? That doesn't make sense. At least the coaches poll has it right.

Fives thoughts to your thoughts: 1. We didn't need to have a fantastic huge scoring game and with the question marks going into the game, I wasn't expecting us to. Practice and scrimmages only tell you so much about your skill players and hell SEMO probably didn't REALLY answer the questions we had. But it did at least give our new guys game time experience and showed us what they have. All we can do now is keep on improving. 2. I like Maty, I like his spirit and his experience. I think he should be the starter due to his experience but I also think he seriously needs to improve his completion and stop throwing the ball so recklessly. He was a knee away from going 2 for 2 (TD's to Interceptions) which is unacceptable. If he doesn't improve his stats by the time conference play starts, GP needs to tap Lock to start, the kid has shown already great on field leadership. Hell, it might be too early to say but I think Lock has Heisman potential. 3. Yes, agreed, please get better quick! Hansbrough was a big hit to the team as our other running backs just could not step up their game. Alec however did a good job on center so that wasn't too much of a concern. 4. DLineZou... Enough said. But, who else thought it was funny that the game announcers kept calling it DLineU and Markus Golden very politely corrected them with "Well, WE call it DLineZou." I chuckled pretty good. 5. Agreed. Everything said SEC Network would air it. I'm looking at my cable and can't find the game. I just resorted to watching it on my computer on the SEC Network website. Rest easy for the players though, the hot weather is almost over. Closing thought. I was impressed with yesterday game. There were certainly areas to improve on, but the question marks we had during preseason I believe have been mostly answered.

Even before reading the explanation I saw nothing x-rated. I didn't see the enterprise until the explanation but it looks pretty damn clear to me now. Shouldn't mix sports and nerdom though because people will see x-rated crap that isn't there.

No offensive players in the vicinity. Both defenders looking directly at the ref as they slammed into him. Clearly not an accident. Hope those players look at their actions and see fully that they just destroyed their career before it even started.

It pleases me. GP has given the impression that Maty Mauk is the man on the job no matter what. Placing Lock in the second position spot, demoting Printz is putting out a VERY clear message to Mauk, get your accuracy up or your outta the job. It tells me that perhaps we're fully commited to getting not only the SECCG but also to be a contender for the NC. I could be wrong but it's how I'm interpretting the decision.

I think our guys will overcome. Most importantly they must learn to work with their qb. They're showing this.

Miss st at mizzou is more interesting then mizzou at Georgia? Not only more interesting but more important too.
