How many super successful head coaches are "best friends" with their players? They are typically admired and respected, and sometimes loved, but best friend? The answer is few to none. I heard Scott Frost, Nebraska, talking about the lack of discipline among several of his players. He said he is going to go only with the players who get it, "the warriors." Not the players who hit an opponent 3 yds. out of play. Not the players who celebrate their individual play when the team is getting beat badly, not the players who get penalty after penalty. Sound like our Rebels? Even though Nebraska is 0-4, I believe their future is more promising, unless Luke quits being a friend and starts being a coach.
