Please tell me who was better than either Bama or LSU in'11. The closest contender was Okie State who lost to a 6-6, unranked Iowa State team. Bama's only loss was to #2 LSU in a 3 point, double overtime game. I just love the Boog logic...... or lack thereof....
Danny Kannell also thought Free Shoes University was better than Bama. Kannell is a jackass who will never give Bama their due.
Before anyone gets their undies in a wad, Raekwon was at that bar to watch the fight. The bar was offering a 5 dollar admission. He was leaving the bar when the fight was over and caught a stray bullet in the leg. He was involved in no altercation whatsoever.....other than catching a stray bullet in the leg.
The Field Goal blocked by A'Shawn Robinson in the 2015 LSU game would still be legal. Robinson was lined up at Nose Guard and just jumped over the Center who tried to submarine him. He did not get a running start.
Please take a hike. Declaring Reuben Foster and Tim Williams losers is beyond stupid. Their performances on the field speak for themselves.
Then please explain how LSU is always right there at the top in recruiting yet they somehow stumble, fumble fart and fall every season under Les. It's your hate for Bama that blinds you to the true greatness Bama exemplifies. Get that corndog out or your rear end before you sit down...
Henry leads the Football Bowl Subdivision in rushing attempts (339), rushing yards (1,986) and rushing touchdowns (23). He's second in rushing yards per game (152.8) to LSU's Leonard Fournette. To put that in perspective, Henry carried only 53 times in Alabama's four non-conference games against Wisconsin (13), Middle Tennessee (18), Louisiana-Monroe (13) and Charleston Southern (9). If Henry were his own University his rushing totals would rank 76th out of 128 FBS schools. He scored 23 TDs. McCaffrey 15. Henry put the Bama team on his back and played his biggest in the Tide's biggest games. Bama's strength of schedule alone should vault him into the #1 spot.
Therein is the rub. The Raider QB has to have enought time for Amari to make those moves in order to be able to utilize him. Hopefully the Al Davis curse has been removed... Now, if Trent could only git his thang together, I could be a Raider fan once more...
Both, we're a wave of Elephants. Didn't you see our last TD drive in the '14 Iron Bowl?
There's a scene from "The Man Who Shot LIberty Valence" where John Wayne walks into a room, filling up the doorway and Liberty, played by Lee Marvin, says, "Well if it ain't the big man", to which the Duke replies, "I always thought that if someone was a big man, others would say it for him, like you just did Liberty." Tide don't need no hype...
You never know. I remember when Brodie Croyle was QB we went 3 QBs deep down to Brandon Avalos. If 2 more RBs get injured in fall camp, for example, this kid's all of a sudden the #2 guy. Just saying...
Just so you morons know, Alabama was awarded 19 National Championships in football by the same services that awarded NCs to schools like Notre Dame and Michigan etc.. Alabama only claims the 15 Championships awarded by the same services that awarded them to other programs. There are no "wildcat" awards like, for example, for 2004 when Auburn declared themselves "People's National Champions" after getting snubbed by the polls. That being said, we claim 15 and if Bama can't claim NCs awarded by certain services, then Michigan and Notre Dame shouldn't be able to claim them either...... which they both do, BTW.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_football_national_championships_in_NCAA_Division_I_FBS
I seriously doubt anyone in Tuscaloosa is blowing off Mizzou. Most of this season success has hinged on the fact that Bama takes every team seriously. It should be a great game and I have to disagree with the double digits that Alabama is favored by. I think it's gonna be a really close game.
I'm assuming from your comment that you haven't watched a lot of Pac 12 games.
There was a lot of dirty crap from the refs during the Free Shoes U game. They were doing their best to keep the Noles in it...
OK, lest we forget, The SEC has the toughest scheduling. Half a dozen SOS polls have the SEC with 9 teams in the top 15 in SOS ranking. So, hell no, I don't agree with the GameDay crew. SOS ranking starts with #1 Auburn, #2 Alabama, #3 Mississippi State, #4 LSU, #5 Arkansas and so on..... Read it and wretch, GayDay crew.... http://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/ranking/strength-of-schedule-by-team
So, does anyone delusional enough to seriously think that Alabama won't be leading the pack in recruiting come national signing day?
Saban's strategy that started in '08 of playing neutral site games in Atlanta against ACC opponents was a stoke of genius. He's been steadily raking players in from Georgia since then. Bama's '14 OL recruits are already considered the best overall OL class in the nation. The rich just get richer. Maybe UGA needs to call President Obama and talk about some redistribution of wealth in the SEC........ha, ha........
I hope you're right. One of Bama's defensive strengths has bee that huge guy in the middle. Mt. Cody, Chapman & Jesse Williams were the guys. Ivory takes up a lot of space but he doesn't have their strength. I'd love for Elam to Roll With The Tide. Saban and company would turn him into a first rounder....
Even without those 2 DBs it's an awesome class. Maybe one of Saban's best...
Too bad these recruits couldn't come for a better game, like the LSU matchup. I think once the players grasp the difference between programs and facilitis, they will be Bama bound...
Anybody that saw Nick leap into AJ's arms after the LSU game with the glee of a 6 year old that just got a Ferrari for Christmas knows The Sabans aren't leaving Tuscaloosa....
If Hand and Humphrey wind up rolling with the Tide, this could be our best recruiting class ever...
Humphrey has to be a legacy scholly at Bama. Wasn't his dad Boobby Humphrey, the great RB with Bama and Denver Broncos?
You could also add Bama starting NG Brandon Ivory who was considered a "project" coming in. He's been the mainstay in the DL so far this season.
