Love all these, “we named a QB” posts. MSU hasn’t had a decent QB since Dak and Mullen stumbled into that. Nobody saw it coming. Shrader showed promise last year, but there was no way Leach was going to play him after convincing Costello him to come to Starkville. This isn’t a QB issue. This is a coach issue. 2 games in a row they looked like $h$t in the first half and made ZERO adjustments at halftime. It took the 2nd worst team in the SEC 5 practices to figure out how to ground the air-raid. It took UK 5 more practices to figure out how to embarrass the team. Nobody gave JoMo any slack. This guy doesn’t deserve any better. And 3 games in, it’s all the players fault. This was predictable.

Look. Forget the years when MSU was 3-9 or 9-3. The reality is they live in a neighborhood of very good teams, peer and above peer. They won 6 games last year. To win 9 in a regular basis (as all these dreamers think) they need to snatch 3 that they did get this year. So looking at the 2020 schedule, where does those 3 come from? NC State? Maybe. Then what? Auburn. Maybe, but maybe not. Are we going to Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge and stealing one. Doubtful. T A&M at home. Maybe. So MAYBE they win 8. Folks need to be realistic. This team spends less on football than every team in the SEC except MO and Vandy. Know who you are and where you live before you start demanding wins.

I’m a Mich fan but I’ve got to see it to believe it. He’s right on Nebraska but only because of their schedule. They could easily win 10 games and only be a so-so team.
