First thing, Pittman's first season was 2020, not 2019. I'm glad Sam's coming back. He's a good man and a good coach, but if Yurachek doesn't get the NIL money flowing more freely, than there's not going to be a whole if improvement no matter who's head coach. It's one thing to be outspent by Bama, Georgia, and LSU, and no one's surprised by how much money A&M can throw around, but when we're getting out spent by Ole Miss, Missouri and State, we need to either leave the conference or get in the money ball fast
No Petrino. If we're going to make another mistake, I'd prefer it be a new mistake instead of repeating an old one
. It’s extremely disappointing to the fan but we know it could be worst because it has been.
Plus Dominique hopefully coming back healthy
Am I the only son of the south that thinks Chick-fil-A is bland and dry..? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's nasty, but I have no idea why people go crazy for it, and I sure as hell wouldn't drive past a Popeye's to get there
A&M's run defense has been highly questionable, but the Hog's pass defense has been worse. My hope is that the Aggies' offense can't figure out their passing woes and their defense won't figure out their run defense in time and we can win with the ground and pound
I should be happy to see Mizzou out of the top 50 after all the salt Tiger fans threw on Arkansas when Drinkawitz turned us down and went to Columbia instead, but, honestly, I don't want to see any SEC team that low. It's a bad look for all of us
I honestly feel bad for Frost. He had so much success at UCF, but it's a lot easier to recruit four or five star athletes out of the state of Florida to come play in Orlando than it ease to get them to come all the way up to Nebraska. And Nebraska is never going to produce the number of elite athletes he needs in a state with such a small population. It's kinda heartbreaking, but he'll be fine. Just needs to get out of the Midwest
It'll all come down to Notre Dame. If they decide to join the Big 10, The SEC will raid the ACC, and the Big 10 will probably add three more west coast teams to bring both to 20 teams in each conference. If ND stays pat, so will the SEC and the Big 10
I think this year will be the best opportunity Arkansas has had in the Saban era to beat Bama that we've had. Which is not to say that I'm betting rent money on it, but getting the Ride at home early in the season, and have OL concerns. We've got a veteran QB and line, a stacked run game, and a Dline that should be better. If it's going to happen before Saint Nick retires, this might be the year
Couldn't be more than a six hour drive from Warren to Nashville. Treylon can bring his whole family to the every game if he wants
It's a matter of perception and respect, GT8. Hog fans and Arkansans in general feel like we've spent our lives being overlooked or looked down on in most walks of life, so our athletic successes are a huge point of pride for us. When we don't see that success being recognized nationally the way we think it ought to be, it feels a lot more like a personal insult than an oversight or a simple difference of opinion. It may be a bit childish of us, but it's true.
Those seniors we were stacked with had won eleven games in four years. They lost to North Texas and Western Kentucky. Badly. If Sam hadn't come in and made those boys believe that they could win again, they would have gone down as the worst class of Razorbacks in program history. To be blunt, nobody has done a better job of coaching in the SEC than Sam has in the last two years
Oh, thank God. I was starting to worry Catalon was going to be our only returning starter on defense
Man, the Hogs just get no respect in the media...
It won't matter if they expand the playoffs, tho. And we're probably going to be in a four team pod system before long anyway
Exactly what I thought. A healthy Jalen would probably be good for at least one or two more wins
Um, actually, if you'd made one of those three, we would have tied and gone to overtime. Which is different
So the Razorbacks didn't have a single player worth mentioning...? Not even Kopps...? Really...?
