Shoot. Do you people not watch football? You're acting like this is the first time you're seeing this. Do i agree with the behavior? Absolutely not. Do i understand it? Absolutely. Does stuff like this happen in every single football game by every single team? Absolutely... If its not fingers in a face mask trying to poke an eye out, kneeing opposing players in the groin, punching guts under the pile, or stepping on them, its something and it happens nearly every play. Most common viewers don't see stuff like this because they're following the ball, but it happens all the time. I played college football, and I can tell you one thing: If the guy lining up across from you throws a cheap shot your way, you fight back. Is it the "right" thing to do? Maybe not, but if you don't set things straight with him, its going to be a very long night for you. Sure sure sure argue me all you want about football being about "fairly" winning the battle by being tougher than the guy across from you, but in reality, nobody plays fair, and that's just the fact of the matter. You couldn't begin to count how many cheap shots/chop blocks/holding calls refs miss per game. Bottom line: stop talking about what you don't know about. If you wanna talk trash about the guy, go watch film- frame by frame- and tell me the guys he stepped on didn't take cheap shots on him prior to those 2 plays. Welcome to the SEC. If you wanna watch football where they play by the rules, maybe the Ivy League would be a better fit for you.
