I have no doubt that jimbo isnt going anywhere. He's not the first coach to milk a situation like this for a big fat raise. He took advantage of a generous offer last year, right up to the last minute, when FSU stepped up he was back in a flash. He will get another raise for staying at FSU this year. Easy money, why would he leave? He is not on a hot seat, FSU has a good program, and he doesnt have to contend with an SEC west schedule. As I sit here watching LSU pound A&M, it is very clear that the situation at each school is very different. Both schools have the financial resources to hire anybody they want. To suggest that Fisher turned LSU down because he wouldn't have good assistants is pure folly. LSU's coordinators are among the highest paid coaches in the game. Truth is, "elite" level coaches seldom hire into situations like the one at LSU because it is hard for them to compete with the record(s) of the previous coach. Like him or not, Les Miles had a hell of a run at LSU, any new coach will be judged against his accomplishments, and it will be difficult to look better. Jimbo didn't want to take that challenge on. A&M is a different challenge, it wouldn't be as hard to follow up the outgoing coach, but again, as long as FSU keeps paying him to stay, he has no real motivation to leave.

"Loading the box" is no longer an option, Etling is healthy and will make a defense pay. They have much more than just a running game. BTW, ole kirk seems to forget, so I'll remind you, LSU can stop anyone, opponents have to deal with that defense before they can even dream if an upset. This ain't LA Tech.

You must not know that Orgeron's brand has been out there for years, He is one of the absolute best recruiters in the country, might be THE best. LSU does not need to give anyone any "perceptions" to recruit players, they are the top
