I agree that the ACC has the weakest teams after Clemson. No wonder Clemson is undefeated and well rested by national playoff time, they dont have to risk injuries to their starters cause they can use their 3rd string players to coast through league play. Other conferences, Iike the Big10, SEC, and Pac12 have numerous teams that are good enough to be ranked in the top 20. Our previous national champ, LSU, had to beat numerous conference teams ranked in the top 10 at game time, then had to win the conference playoff before heading to the natty. Clemson had a cakewalk through conference play. Come on, Clemson, play some teams in your regular schedule that are not ranked in the bottom 100. Lets see how good you are when you have to play top 20 teams week after week.
When I see what Dan Mullen has accomplished at Mississippi State over the past several years, I see a great future for the Florida Gators. It will require patience and support from its fan base. Look for Florida to be in the top two of the eastern division of the SEC really soon. Who knows, a national championship may be on the near horizon. I'm a devout Bama fan and I witnessed where Sabin has taken the Crimson Tide program when it was down and out just a little over 10 years ago. Don't be surprised to see Mullen's influence take the Gators to the same heights. Roll Tide!
Hey Arkansas_vol, I don't think his cat walked across the keyboard, as the cat could have typed and formed sentences much better. I think his head is still bobbing up and down on the keyboard from watching Bama de-nut his bulldogs. Roll Tide and go Vols, Baby!!!
Bama has no business being considered in the final top 4. Their offense is nothing like the offenses of the past, with the exception of their running backs, who are some of the best in the nation. Their receivers could've been some of the best in the nation, but a lackluster QB has put a stop to that. Yes, their QB, Hurts, is better suited for a running back as he has absolutely no talent for reading defenses and anticipating open receivers. His receivers must be wide open BEFORE he decides to throw the ball, and even then, he overlooks his open receivers consistently, the only thing he does consistently when in passing mode. That's why elite teams, like Clemson and Auburn can shut him down with man to man coverage on these elite receivers, and stack the box against the run. And yet, there you have a potential best in the nation passing QB, sitting on the bench, unable to play because the coaching staff thinks running the ball is going to get them the first downs they desire.......note, in the recent Auburn game, Bama's 3rd down conversions was 2 out of 11......in last year's Clemson game, that conversion rate was 2 out of 15. Some running attack, huh? Speak of running, Bama's only sustained drives in the Auburn game consisted of using their RUNNING BACKS (some of the best in the nation), not the QB. The failed drives, usually 3 and out, consisted of Hurts inability to get the ball to a receiver or trying to run the ball himself. So, bottom line, why should Bama, using the same approach that has failed numerous times against elite competition, have another opportunity to embarrass themselves?
Hey Hogs, you've got some awesome looking uniforms.....really professional looking!!!! Hope they give you that Kryptonite feel when you play anybody but us. Roll Tide and go Hogs!!!
