I think the real reason is that no one in college football looks very good this year, and Georgia wound up as one of a small number of teams with one loss. Although, I'm not sure Georgia is going to make it.
I'll bite. I think the refs blew tons of calls, predominantly favoring bama, but it didn't really matter because Georgia was playing so terribly that it didn't make a difference.
That's great, but we don't pay him to evangelize. We pay him to win football games. If he wants to spread the Good Word, I think he'd do well and I would wish him the best. But as long as he's a government employee, he should focus on doing his damn job: winning the big games. Arguing that he actually does have a good winning percentage and we should therefore keep him is somewhat convincing. Saying he's a good Christian and we should therefore keep him is not. Pope Francis is also a good Christian, but I don't want him coaching our football team.
