It exposes the fallacy of voting in place of competition and pretending that somehow you can have a ligitimate champions. You cannot , the only way to determine a championship is by inclusive competition. It's not about which team or teams are considered best by some committee vote. It's about who wins , and sometimes the team that is considered best doesn't win. That's why they play the game , and that's why we watch! To see who wins , and there can be no champion , without equal opportunity to play.
Routes! As if the concept is beyond a female reporter's ability to grasp and discuss? What a pompous ass.
Such a foreign concept to think that actions should have consequences. I'm sure outrage will ensue, but I hope for the sake of these young men that the coaches decision will stand. They certainly have every right to protest and voice their opinion, just not while on this coach's team. They were aware of the consequences yet acted anyway. That's their decision, and I can respect that. The coach stood true to his word and everyone should respect that also.
I don't know if Cleveland would be better off without Manziel, but I do know Manziel would be much better off without Cleveland!
No that's right Pharoh, they have been in the conference 4 years and haven't won the SEC. To say they haven't won anything is not exactly accurate. They have won several games in the SEC and all ,every bowl game. So I'm confused as to what the hell you're talking about.
It seems odd that this idiot nor the police wanted to pursue the case after discovering it wasn't Gurley, but rather a white guy. Was he assaulted or not? Or was he assaulted only if it happened to be by a star football player, who wasn't white.?
Pay attention there Ace, the little pussy kid was already home when he called the police after 3 am , the article doesn't say Gurley was still in the bar , or what time he agreed to be interviewed. He may have been on his way to church services for all you know.
Playoff This is nowhere near a playoff , it's just the same old beauty contest with a new dress. It's not hard to grasp the concept of a legitimate playoff for every other football level, from jr. High, through the professional level, but for some reason it eludes division 1 Ncaa.
Almost right. Arkansas let it slip through their hands.
It's just the same old crap only with more chaos. Why not have a real playoff with the winners of each conference plus a couple of wildcards. Like every other level of football from jr.high through professional ?
Of all the mistakes in the game on both sides , the illegal procedure non call was way down the list for affecting the outcome. Arkansas let it slip away from them, but left no doubt in anyone's mind they are legitimate, with the best offensive line and two beasts for running backs, they will compete with anyone in the country.
