Ya know...I would probably say the same thing. 18th or so. However, I also wouldn't be THAT surprised if we had a real break-out year either. By the end of this year, I thought we could hang with just about anyone.

Don't be too upset, fuzz...Mizzou seems to do just fine playing that under - appreciated role.

I thought the exact same thing when reading this...of course we weren't ranked as high in "passing offense" but that's due to the abundance of pass - heavy teams out there. Very balanced offense.

Being a Hog fan, I wasn't surprised we'd beat Texas...but the defense amazed me, even after the two shutouts near the end of the season. I can also say, being at the game, more than half of the Longhorns' yards came at the end of the 4th quarter, against mostly reserves.

Auburn didn't even WIN...of course, I'm a homer but the Hogs DID limit the Longhorns to 59 TOTAL yards for the entire game.

Considering he was discussing JWill and the offensive impact he provides, it implied he meant the only significant loss on OFFENSE. I doubt anyone would ignore the fact Speight and Flowers will be significant losses on the defense.

Agreed...Storey should be the future of the Hogs in 2-3 years.

Still very proud of our Hogs and the improvement/heart they have shown this season. We're headed in the right direction but I can't take anything away from the Tigers. They finished when we couldn't. Kudos to them but next year is ours!

He certainly should have been pulled earlier, IMO. It was obvious he was off the entire 2nd half.

Of course, Bo's poor game had NOTHING to do with the Hog's defensive play. SMH...playerS of the game were clearly our defense, NOT Bo Wallace.

Great article, Murf! As happy as I've been with our progress this year, it truly gives me goose-bumps when I think of how TRULY young our core playing talent really is. The upside with what Bielema brings makes this Hog happy.

I went to the LSU/Wisconsin game in Houston to start the season...I said it then, and say it still, this will be a win for the Hogs. WPS!
