I have known the Croyle family going back to John's mother and father. They are the nicest, most humble, loving people you would ever want to meet. They don't round up kids and bring them to a compound-they take any child who is brought to them. Black, white, whatever color, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, atheist, whatever-they take them in because no one else will. They don't force Christianity on anyone-they just love the kids and tell them why they are helping them-because of their love for Christ. I understand there are those Christians who act superior, judgmental, unforgiving, think that that everyone in America should be a Christian, and think this country should be a theocratic Christian autocracy. Those people are not the Croyles. I would say the same thing about the Croyles if they were Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, atheist, or any other type of belief. They represent the best of those who are helping the least of us-the poor, the unloved, the forgotten. So, I say good for them and shame on anyone who would criticize them- particularly those who don't know them.
