Not to mention the perfectly thrown ball to Ruggs that should have been a touchdown. Those 3 plays alone would have put him over 200 with 3 TDs. People are dumb. Hurts lit up everyone in the SEC last year except LSU and Florida.
If you really think that you didn't watch.
He's not wrong? You do know that no one ever puts 10 men in the box unless it's a goal line situation and even then the offense has to be in a 0 receiver set. Alabama was even able to stop LSU's running game in nickel last week. That's a 6 man box.
In many ways Daron Payne playing a major role in the rotation is even more impressive than the other freshman because with Bama's D-Line quality depth you know he's earned his playing time on the practice field. Same with Fitzpatrick and Ridley obviously but DB and WR were question marks. D-Line wasn't.
Sad to see. But if this injury happened after the 1st quarter it's on freeze. Injury problems were what held ole miss back last year. There's no reason for a key player to be playing in a 76-3 beating. Like the swing pass to Nkdmdiche, it was a fun play for everyone to watch. But you're asking for him to get injured which would be catastrophic for a very talented but somewhat thin Ole Miss team.
I know y'all don't want to be repetitive. But DL is also the strongest position group in the SEC west. You just said yesterday it's a line of scrimmage league. Nkemdiche, Lawson, Garrett, Robinson, Reed, Allen, etc the list goes on.
Coming from a Bama fan...Henry is okay when you need about a yard but in general he's not a very good inside runner. His feet aren't quick enough and he's top heavy so when defenders get him around the ankles near the line of scrimmage...he's going down. He's far more effective running off tackle, once he gets to the 2nd level, there's no one better.
I think Cyrus Jones could have a Javier Arenas type senior season.
Georgia will lay a couple eggs as always. That's just the kind of coach Richt is. I know as a writer you feel like an ass by constantly picking Bama but Bama is the only one of those teams that's proven it can win without elite quarterback play. Since all 3 teams a re replacing the quarterback I'd say bama has to be the favorite.
2 super bowls. Something tells me Eli Manning may disagree with your assessment of Eli Manning's best days.
Cam Sims was all the talk during bowl practice. Still think he will be the guy.
Kenyan Drake should be among the "also considered" list. Had 6 TDS in 4 games last season. 4 rushing and 2 receiving. Other than that it's good.
Alabama's leading receiver will be Cam Sims.
Conner is more of a sure handed tackler than a really hard hitter, which is really better imo.
Reggie Ragland hits harder than most of the guys on the list.
