Interesting how some of you Bammers and Tigahs want to condemn a young man for making a decision about HIS life and HIS career. Maybe there's some lockerroom stuff ... maybe the new coach with the new accent told him to look elsewhere ... maybe his dad who has a absolute better perspective AND experience than any of us is guiding him. Maybe he was tired of gumbo and crawfish. I don't have any figurative dog in this hunt, but my reply is and will always be for these young men making these decisions is ... Good luck. We wish you well. And - he grew up in the shadow of the REAL hedges. Maybe they both want to play closer to home.
Barners - maybe the no-call in the end zone was questionable. But it kinda evens out ... right? You fellas don't beat Georgia State if not for a questionably ruled completion that clearly hit the ground late in the game. Carry on and WahrrDammm.
Like the players. You go on that field, you gotta have your head on a swivel.
Also think about the nicknames that are somewhat legendary still @ UGA. Meat Cleaver, Moonpie, Cowboy, Tifton Termite and others.
In the 70s, we'd roll out the Godfather of Soul himself - James Brown - for halftime entertainment, then in the 2nd half he'd make a cameo appearance with the cheerleaders. You'd never see that in the 21st century. But it was awesome.
Here are my top 3, with a 4th that had the goods and could go ... just had some injuries: 1. Herschel 2. Todd Gurley 3. Nick Chubb 4. Robert Edwards
