Eh. Bama has been legendary but pump the brakes on thoroughly dominated for a decade. 2006: Bama was nowhere to be found in 2006 when UF won the championship 2007: Bama was a bottom feeder 2008: UF slaughtered them in Atlanta 2009: Bama suffered 3 losses including loss to Auburn 2013: Bama lost to Auburn Bama has been very dominant, but they certainly haven't "thoroughly dominated" when half of the decade they either lost in, or didn't even make it to SECCG.
Volmaster is spot on. Conversely, Austin is not smart.
"Florida’s PPG allowed also was propped up by the East. Ole Miss, LSU and Alabama each scored at least 28 against the Gators." Florida beat Ole Miss 38-10 last season. The reason they gave up so many points is because they had the worst offense in the SEC after Grier f-ed up and Treon took over. When the opposing offense gets the ball back as often and as frequently as the ones they faced, kinda screws the defense. They can only make so many stops.
Callaway has had 3 TDs on the season bubba, not one.
No Janoris Jenkins? Faced bums such as Julio Jones and AJ Green in his tenure at UF, was the starting corner on a NC team, and at the time was the second true freshman to ever start on opening day at UF. No big deal.
Maybe. But, even the most biased fan would have to admit VH3 is the best corner in the SEC. He was, in fact, All-SEC First team as a freshman. That's stupid.
Saw it--but my argument concerned the aforementioned not making the actual list.
I don't want to be quotation mark that guy quotation mark but the fact that the combo of Vernon Hargreaves III and Jalen Tabor isn't on this list borders on laughable. VH3 made the All-Sec first team, as a freshman, already establishing him as the best young corner in the country. Then you pair him with the freakishly-long-armed Tabor who measures in at over 6'2, was the no.3 CB in the country coming out, and who dominated the Under-Armour game 4 months ago and you have quite a young combo. Hard to swallow not seeing them on here. Anyhow, love the site and your work.
