I love Sam Pittman, but I do wonder at times if he’s in over his head. Regardless of how this season goes, I’m happy to give him another year.
First, the word "moot" means it is debatable, so I'm not sure why it is used in your sentence. Second, the players stopped moving because they "thought" the play was dead.
The replay officials got it wrong as well. It was an immediate recovery. Going by their logic a QB can turn around and throw it 50 yards and it will be okay since it will not be recovered "immediately".
Games will end quicker if the ball is placed on the 50 yard line? Are you one crack? I'm not opposed to it, but it will NOT make the games end quicker -- especially if you have two strong defenses.
Also, it is one thing to do a "trick" play when have 4 downs; it's another thing to do a "trick" play with only one down when all you need is an extra point from the kicker to survive.
Basically . . . . . you're an idiot!!
