My thoughts exactly. Go back to picking single cover athletes in 2026; for the first game back, it should be a bunch of guys. Kind of like the old Sports Illustrated March Madness magazine covers, where it's a collage. Maybe do the best players over the last 11 years since the last game came out to honor the guys who would've been chosen but couldn't since the game had to stop production in the interim. Could be just the Heisman winners, which would be great, or maybe throw some defensive players like Nagurski winners in there.

I don't get the obsession with pods. It doesn't make sense. There is no benefit to having 4 "divisions"- it should either be 2 or none. My proposal is 3 permanent rivals, which can be different for each team and not pod-based, and the rest of the schedule rotates. That way you keep historic rivalries, allow for some flexibility without having needed historic rivalries either broken up or playing other random teams (i.e. Bama-Auburn and adding TN to the pod- Auburn-TN is not a historic rivalry).
