That assumes divisions, which is not a safe assumption. Pods, or a permanent-rival system similar to SEC basketball scheduling, are much more likely. Texas could be put in a Big 12 pod with OU, A&M or Missouri. Or they could be put in one with Bama or Georgia.

Pennington is a walk-on. As far as I can tell he hasn't played a minute, and undoubtedly has been told that isn't going to change. I'd never heard of the kid and I follow the team closely. Good luck to him, but it's not a loss to the program.

Arkansas-TCU isn't even the best NC series on Arkansas' schedule. I'm much more interested in Arkansas-Michigan in 18-19; it's my understanding that the return game in Fayetteville will be the first time Michigan has played in an SEC stadium. Plus there's the Harbaugh-Bielema factor. Should be some barbs flying back and forth before those games...

Coozie, the Hogs stop the running game pretty well. Except for scrambling QBs, and Brandon Harris hasn't shown that skill very much. I suspect Arkansas will do exactly what it did to LSU in Fayetteville last year -- stack the box and dare LSU to beat them throwing the ball. If Harris can do that, LSU wins easily. If not, could be another upset.

I wouldn't judge the offense by what it showed Saturday. Collins and Williams were both out, but more importantly, Bielema and Dan Enos locked up probably half the playbook and threw away the key. There is a lot in their scheme they didn't show in the Red-White game.
