Let Steve Spurrier coach the game against FSU
No shot that Mullen did this on his own. It was probably immense pressure from the boosters.
Something happened between the OU game last season to where we are now. Players look like they simply do not care. I said this a few weeks ago after the LSU loss and some fellow Florida fans disagreed with me, But Mullen has lost the locker room. It is clear as day. I am not even upset at this loss, I just feel apathy. This goes well beyond firing Todd Grantham. With the way things are looking, I will not be surprised if UF finishes 5-7 with losses to both Missouri and FSU. We should've all seen this coming after Mullen decided to take a knee going into HT of the Kentucky game.
Just to elaborate on what I am saying, Diabate clearly is not a fan of Grantham's scheme, former players are shading UF's scheme on Twitter. Mullen's loyalty toward certain members of the staff, players, etc is/will be his downfall. I knew that this year would be a transition year, but losing to Kentucky (all be it a pretty good team) and a flat-out bad LSU team in year 4? Is this the Gator Standard? Barring a surprise loss, we will finish 8-4 again this year and go to the Gator Bowl or something. Again, I knew this would be a transition year but seeing the same mistakes is infuriating. For the rest of the season, I would like to see AR-15 start. See what he can do and build some confidence heading into 2022.
Mullen has lost the locker room. At what point is it enough?
Just putting it out there, but someone who knows a few people on UGA's team told me that he got into it with Kirby Smart.
I think it is a 3 team race between Bama, UF, and Michigan. Ultimately, I think he will end up at Michigan.
There's no way. OU and Texas are definitely leveraging for the creation of a Big12 network or something of that nature.
It is going to be brutally hot. I hope that both teams bring IV bags.
It will be an interesting finish. He said that he will likely commit in August, but nothing matters until he signs the dotted line. I personally think that UF leads, but Michigan is not to far behind Florida. And Bama is Bama. If I were to guess, I think when it is all said and done he will go to Alabama.
Funny thing is that we are the leader in his recruitment.
Wow, big get for South Carolina. If I am not mistaken, both UGA and UF were after him.
I've always had a soft-spot for South Carolina. I know that I shouldn't be "rooting" for a team in the same division, but I am hoping that South Carolina can be a contender for the SEC East once again. Just as they were under Spurrier. So far it looks like a great start!
We are recruiting some track speed guys at WR. Evan Stewart and Jayden Gibson would solidify the WR class.
Not really. Florida didn't accept him given that student athletes are held to high standards. Must be different at Georgia though.
I disagree. High school recruits have increasingly become more popular to the point where card companies such as Leaf have US Army All Americans sign cards and then they release the cards in a box. Irregardless, it is bogus for a governing body to prevent athletes from earning money based off autographs, pictures, YouTube videos, etc.
I disagree. College athletes should be allowed to make money based off of their name, image, and likeness. This is not the same as colleges PAYING athletes a salary. Instead, it will allow athletes to make money by selling autographs, game-used gear, etc. It gives an opportunity. The NCAA should not be allowed to withhold student-athletes from profiting off of their names. That is just my take.
Honestly, if he goes to Tennesse, good for them. That is a big-time pickup. Just have to control his emotions and ego and you will have a really talented player.
Maybe with all of the allegations with Penn State, he could get a waiver.
When Mullen was OC at Florida, the #1 was usually given to the "ballers", so Percy Harvin, Janoris Jenkins, Reggie Nelson, etc. It is like how LSU has the #7 tradition.
