Two of the last 3 series LSU won were teams at the bottom of the conference and Texas A&M didn't even make the SEC tournament. There is no doubt coach retiring made a big impact on LSU getting in and there is no doubt this was a well conceived plan on his part. Georgia was never swept and LSU was swept twice. Georgia was 3-3 against Tenn and Vandy and LSU was 0-6. UGA was 1-0 versus LSU. LSU had easy schedule to end the season and UGA had a brutal one.
