When Arkansas wanted to change its name, the Razorback mascot was already being used by a high school on the Arkansas side of Arkansas-Texas border city, Texarkana, a city in the southwest corner of the state. The story goes that the University traded some athletic equipment for the shared used of the name with the high school known as Arkansas High. Along with the University of Arkansas, Arkansas High still uses the Razorback as its mascot, as well. WPS!!!
