They saw Bama barely lose to the best team in the country. That has to weigh more than UGA winning against two crap teams that happen to be called a top 15 team and losing to an absolute dumpster fire of a program.

So you are giving a pass to UGA for losing, at home, to a team that is absolutley terrible but holding Bama accountable for one, very close loss to the team that is about to catapulted from #3 to #1 in the country after beating Bama? They barely lost to the #1 team in the country and yet they deserve to be outside the top 4 and a team with a terrible loss deserves to be put in? Its an anomaly. Thats your rationale?
