This whole media storm is an attempt to deflect attention from the fact that the Oregon RB committed assault. Yes, I understand the fan shouldn't have been on the field but that is why security and police are on the sidelines. I've been lit up by a blindside D back in full pads and it was like a train hit me. I can only imagine what injuries the fan suffered. The Oregon RB has no authority to do what he did. The kid could have been paralyzed or worse. Because you wanted the game to stay on pace, you could've killed someone. Over a game! Oregon realizes this as well as the NCAA that's why they have structured the story like it is in every article. Calling the fan an idiot and actually celebrating the assault, In an era where targeting a defenseless player is met with ultimate shame and ejection with a possibility of being banned from play forever. Everyone instead glorified an actual crime.
