Would Josh Allen have success against the Bama D? Yes, yes he would, however this is no statement on Josh Allen. His receivers would be bigger, faster, and stronger than anyone the Tide's secondary has ever covered, and his NFL O-line would give him plenty of time to sort things out. Would Bama have an advantage in a direct QB head-to-head matchup? Maybe. You could maybe point out some other individual points where Alabama might have an advantage in an isolated situation, but big picture, it's not contest. At -28, my money's on the Bills to cover. This hypothetical scenario gets recycled every year, and it's just moronic this year as at ever has been.
"Biggest game in football history" is 100% indicative of what this article and these memes are lampooning. Tennessee has been irrelevant for so long, they are grossly inflating things to make themselves feel important. Yes, it was the highest attendance in history, but just like hoisting a trophy, it doesn't change the fact that it was nothing more than a week 2 victory against an unranked team. But just like a jack o' lantern, by the end of October, your flame will be extinguished, your stupid buck-toothed grins will be rotten and saggy, and your orange-clad ass will be tossed out with last week's garbage.
Got under your skin enough for you to respond.
I guess Bama's gonna continue being dead last in cool uniform designs. All we added was another stupid ring. Sure wish we had those super sweet thigh pads instead...
His joke shouldn't be a news story. A response on Twitter shouldn't be a news story. Remind me again why we're talking about either of these? Anyhow, if we're going to indulge this silliness, "win" is a shorter word than "loss".
This isn't pop warner where everyone gets a turn and a participation trophy. If you sign up to play for Alabama, you go there knowing playing time isn't given based on high school results or recruiting stats. It's just comes with the territory.
Steelers got all pissy at the Titans several years ago when a couple of Titans players stepped on the Steelers' terrible dishrags. I miss when the Titans were relevant...
"if you look at the records of the entire season with bowls and apply a consistent standard" Clemson's entire season this year was 12-0. They won the Orange Bowl. That's your "consistent standard"?
Uh-oh, he used the words "trash" and "classless". Next thing you know, he's gonna pull "butthurt" out of his book of overused disses.
If you don't care, then why are you responding to his comment?
...an Auburn thread on an article about an Auburn student talking about Bama.
Doc, you missed my comma splice and necessary commas after "write" and "spell". Come on, yore better than that! ;-)
Typical Barners, always talking about Bama...
Dang, barner. You should of used a spell checker before posting you're message. Maybe we isn't so different after all. Remember comma splices dont make you look intelligent, they make you look silly when criticizing grammer. Auburn fans who can't write spell or put together a complete thought. Makes me sad to let them share our state. Eat mor chikin, cow college boy.................[sic]
Something happens in the NFL, and Auburn fans still want to talk about Bama...
But you're never going to sell papers with an attitude like that!
Beilema is a buffoon. Arky needs to get rid of him and get their program back on track.
Only when you are top dog for as long as Bama has been do these things become newsworthy. "If you can beat 'em, publicize everything that could reflect them in a negative light, and pretend your own fanbase doesn't have the same problems."
tallguyg, that's the dumbest argument I've heard yet. Since when is a wide receiver required to use both hands to catch a ball?
Yes, the refs did everything they could, like gifting Ole Miss a massive, momentum-changing TD play. You haters are so blinded by your own bias, it's astounding.
