There are all kinds of ways to look at this. From Missouri's perspective, we now play four games a year (Arky, Ky, Tenn, Vandy) against teams from bordering states. If we moved to the west, we'd play only Arky from a bordering state.
Look at that photo. No way in hell it can be targeting. And I said that when I saw it live.
This is the least we Missouri TIgers can do. When we joined the SEC, LSU was classy enough to buy a full-page ad in the local paper to welcome us. That has not been forgotten.
NOBODY in Columbia is disappointed with this. The dude did NOTHING here. I do feel sorry for Baylor, however. They just made a huge mistake.
I think he was referring to division titles, and Missouri has a 2-0 lead over that period. But overall, you're right. LSU has had more success in SEC games.
Not much credibility here. Scherer is the returning middle linebacker and one of the top tacklers in the SEC. Brothers played on the outside.
Shhh! Let 'em keep thinking he has a weak arm. Hope they tell that to all their DBs.
Can't believe anyone doesn't like Booches. Best burgers ANYWHERE. Voted one of the 25 best in America by USA Today.
Saw my first Mizzou football game 52 years ago, so I have seen a lot of players. The two best athletes I have ever seen in a Mizzou uniform are Johnny Roland and Jeremy Maclin. I would have to include those two. I'd probably add Devine and Brad Smith or Chase Daniel. Winslow was better in the pros than in college, partly because of the limitations of our offense at the time.
So Missouri was responsible for half the East Division's wins over the West last year. Wow!
A lot of Mizzou fans thought he outplayed Shane Ray on the field. Tough, tough dude. Personally, I think he's an absolute steal in the second round.
Methinks Mitch just made some money.
Love being overlooked again. Keep it up, boys!
Er, no. 24/7 just ranked Cuellar a 4-star and No. 11 JUCO in the nation. Your info is outdated.
Er, Steckel went to Missouri State, not Central Missouri.
Ford's OK, but not many Missouri fans consider him our best recruiter. Or assistant coach, for that matter.
Conference games only?
Kansas would indeed be ideal for Mizzou -- and for Kansas. They, however, have not figured that out so far. A ton of money to be made on this one, and ku has a need for some income for its football program. It will happen eventually, but ku is still smarting that we left the Big Texas Conference for greener pastures and left them behind. They'll show interest in reviving the rivalry once they think they have a good enough team to win, which from the looks of it may be at least five to ten years away.
The East may be down in comparison to the west, but according to Sagarin it is the third strongest division in all of college football after the SEC West and the Pac 12 South.
Every fan base has its idiots, Mizzou included. Just wanted to say that I went to Athens last year and had a great time - treated with great hospitality. Even after we won. Will definitely go again because I love the town. Reminds me of Columbia, MO.
Agreed. They are truly awful. Surely CBS could do better.
OK. If you're an official, can you explain why SEC refs routinely ignore holding, even when a player is dragged to the ground by an offensive lineman?
Amen to the holding. Officials never called an offensive holding penalty in the Missouri-Vanderbilt game, but defenders were regularly being taken to the ground with obvious holds.
I have no idea how you could possibly look at that and say that Sherrils led with his helmet. It was a perfectly legal form tackle. And if it wasn't, we should just admit that people are no longer allowed to play football. The dude doesn't call for a fair catch, and he gets whacked. That's football.
Mizzou's schedule isn't complete yet. Let's see what the last game is before casting stones.
