The loudest games were against the Noles in the 90"s. '91 I had my fingers jammed in my ear as we held on to the 14-9 win. In '93 there was a comeback against the Noles that Corso called the loudest football stadium ever. Again, fingers jammed in ears after Jack Jackson TD and two batted passes. Then it became the quietest ever when Dunn took it to the house. '97 vs. FSU was off the charts as well. I think those were the 3 loudest games.
I would add lack of leadership from state governors to school presidents to AD with the pandemic. Warren has been terrible and you could see it coming after his interview with Pete Thamel last June. He showed his true colors. UT & OK had the chance to witness how these poor decisions could hurt their athletic programs short term and long term.
What do parachute pants and GA Bulldogs Naty have in common? 1980. Reagan/Bush
Tennessee is a super job. They have had poor leadership from the AD spot since Fulmer was pushed out. Great leadership has a hard enough time picking the right coach. Poor leadership has no shot.
The article is simply about reporters/talking heads getting political and giving sports readers their opinion who don't want it. One thing we have learned in the last few years is sports and politics don't mix. ESPN took it in the shorts. The ratings are down in the NFL/NBA. The article is relevant because most really don't want to hear what Nicole Auerbach, Dennis Dodd or Desmond Howard thinks about playing football this year. It's so easy to spot the libs because they cannot help but give you their opinion and typically shouting as loud as they can. Kudos to you for not using all CAPS. I know you wanted to.
Brilliant. Rex Grossman should have been our 3rd QB Heisman.
