In all honesty, I hope that Cooper Bateman isn't the starter in 2016 unless he shows a lot of improvement in his game as well as his leadership on the field. I was excited and held high expectations for him after he signed to play at Alabama because of his athleticism and potential as a dual-threat QB. But his first start at Alabama was a disappointment in my opinion due to the fact he knows and has been in Alabama's system for some time and should have the playbook down pac plenty well enough to have found success considering the weapons he had at his disposal and failed to do so. His YPA was low, he failed to put any points on the board and didn't preform with any leadership or passion to lift the teams confidence when thing's wasn't going as planned. I believe Alabama has to much talent that is gaining valuable knowledge and experience in Alabama's system who will eventually slide him down the Tides depth chart. I believe Barnett and Cornwell will be the top two QBs to slug it out for the starting job with the other being the backup which slides Bateman to third string unless he show's tremendous improvement during the off season.
The Vols have a 1-2 punch on offence? No team this season has had any success running the ball on Bama. The Vols are capable of pulling off the upset as any team in the SEC is always trying to pull off the upset but if they do it will be the passing game. The Tide defense will shut down the run game no doubt.
I understand the meaning in "BOLD PREDICTIONS" but these predictions are highly unlikely. Good article if you keep your bold predictions a bit less mind blowing. It's always possible for any team to suffer a defeat on any given Saturday but I truly can't remember seeing Bama lose by double digits and the Gators defense is good but not that good. Keeping it more realistic and more in the ballpark of the meaning bold would make this a column worth reading.
Butch Jones is a decent coach who has improved his team every year and he's also good on the recruiting trail. Just my opinion but Tennessee would be making a mistake by firing him at season's end unless he let's his program completely implode with a bad losing streak the included a few embarrassing blowouts. College football is extremely competitive and it gets harder year in and year out to win games, even more so in the SEC. The Vols have blown a couple of late games that should have been a win but he's a good coach and he should right his team in the current direction sometime this season and carry that success into the following season. From what I've seen so far this year is even tho he's lost game's that should have been a victory they haven't been blowout thus far and the team has been competitive against each opponent so I say if they end the season without a complete fallout then Butch Jones make or break season should be next season. Whoever posted Tennessee WILL beat Bama this season and put that in your pipe and smoke it. There's always that chance for an upset but to be honest I just smoked some straight pressure and stress I'm still not seeing that conclusion playing out in the same order as you so I'm thinking this moron was smoking some quality dank like myself but must have been sporting some Georgia team apparel as well, straight up moron.
