You had UGA and USC over Auburn and they both lost this week. Guess it is time to move AU on up! Oregon looked impressive. I can't wait to see Bama play a top-tier team to see how good they really are.

I don't think there is much of a controversy. Gus has said that Jeremy will be used in certain situations so that other teams still have to prepare for him, but Nick is the starter. The offense that Gus wants runs better through him, power running. Part of the reason Tre (and this season CAP) are so successful with running is that the defense HAS to account for Nick or he can take it to the house. We have not seen that kind of rising ability out of Jeremy yet. So no, Auburn should not start Jeremy Johnson over the same guy that took them to the national championship last year.

"Cover up Gus" is actually taking a stronger stance than what is called for under auburn football guidelines. Usually the first drug offense, unless egregious (which this clearly wasn't), is no suspension whatsoever. It is usually just counseling and whatever pre-trial prevention the court doles out. But your biased thinking won't allow the FACT that this punishment is more than usual have any influence on your position.
