Anyone who has been paying attention long enough knows that when playing a garbage fire Auburn team AT Jordan Hare aka burial grounds stadium, any and all rivals should be on high alert. That place is cursed
Must have a witch doctor on staff there or something.....always a cursed place to play for so many teams
Even if you all are fully healthy, I'd take a SECCG against Auburn over Bama any day. Playing Bama in the post-season is like our Achilles heel for whatever reason.
Great job getting it done. Game ended as expected. Can't say I love Alabama's constant dominance but they look fantastic and I'll take them again over Ohio State or Clemson
Exactly. If the rest of the season played out exactly as the odds suggest with a 6 team playoff it's Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon and...Memphis? Norte Dame? 6 would probably mean ND practically gets a free pass into the playoffs every years and history would suggest they would lose every time. And I'd argue UGA, UF, LSU, and maybe even Wisconsin all look better than Oregon, Memphis and ND up to this point.
That's some of that excellent math Kentucky was using last week....2 of Fromm's losses were National Championship and SEC Championship, Frank's were all regular season. That's a poor comparison.
Definitely agreed. Does ND get unnecessary hype every years, yes. But they are always a decent team whereas they were being dismissed as a pushover before this game. Not sure if this game was more of a statement about ND being pretty good this year or UGA needing more improvement (I'm leaning towards the latter) but it was a good game overall and at this point a W is a W.
This is the only issue I can see. Obviously choosing not to play was his decision and as far as I understand he traveled on his own accord to the game. The only question is whether or not having him on the sidelines it good for mentoring/morale or is it a statement on how the team should feel about the (lack of) importance of the game. Clearly the team could have used some more leadership and focus. We blow it regardless, played some of the worst football since LSU.
I get OU/OSU but what exactly did ND accomplish? They didn't beat a single top 10 team (closest was Michigan who got manhandled by both OSU and Florida). They are only slight better off than UCF IMO
Ya the SEC has had a strong showing so far between Auburn and this Florida game, but SC dropped the ball hard. Even as a UGA fan, I'm looking forward to a strong Florida team in 2019.
I always loving seeing Ohio State loss, but how about the "We want Bama" cheers from Perdue in the 4th?
You all looked great today. All the best for the rest of the season. We have a lot of work to do to fix our errors. Hopefully we can make the adjustments, win the east and potentially play for revenge against you in the SEC championship.
