LSU has 2 losses and one of them UT crushed them at home. They are not a factor in UT making the playoffs.
Tennessee has been tested and had to improve every week to get to this point. Georgia has been sleepwalking into this game.
I am going to hate seeing LSU hand that 2nd loss on Bama and send them to the Peach Bowl.
Tennessee is going to give me a heart attack before the end of the season.
Heupel is not going back to OU for a few reasons. OU burned that bridge hard. Heupel has strong ties to UT's AD. UT would be able to match any offer OU would bring. Heupel has shown he can win a UT.
If Bama is without Young this week and loses I don't think it will really affect their run to the playoffs as long as he comes back healthy. The committee would weigh not having your starting QB in your only loss.
Really, the only similarity between the 2016 and 2022 teams are both had very good dual treat QBs.
I'm glad UT actually sent pressure on that last play. I hate when teams rush 3 put the rest into coverage.
Reminded me of the 90's UT Teams that drove me nuts. Playing down to bad teams.
If you win the National Championship then you can say you're back.
That offense gives UT a chance against anyone. I don't know if that's the definition of being back. Winning the SEC East would be 1st step to being back, and the 1st step to winning the SEC East was beating UF.
They were up 17 and went into prevent. Did you actually watch the game?
I agree SEC East is the 1st goal, but beating UF is a big step toward that goal.
We are now in the Transfer Era. A top 5 recruiting class is a good start, but isn't as meaningful if you can't lock those kids in for 3 or 4 years. A 5 star might not want to be a backup even for one year and they are gone.
"this weekend would be a good time to root against several teams, such as Auburn, Florida, Mississippi State, Arkansas and Kentucky." I root against all of them anyway.
Don't worry, UF is getting articles written about it's 5-5 as well.
