I'm definitely looking forward to this one it's been a long time since we've played in a prestigious bowl game. Clemson definitely has a talent advantage as they have been pulling in top recruiting classes for years. That usually shows at the lines of scrimmage first hopefully we can hold our own. I sure would feel a lot more confident if we had Hooker, but this is JMs team now so hopefully he can shake off the overthrows and put it on them good! Go Vols! Go SEC win em all!

Congrats Dawgs! Obviously the best team in CFB this year. And probably for some years to come. Hoping the Vols can get back to being relevant so we can see some good games but tonight and this year is yours so enjoy! Looking more like TN will get Clemson in the Orange Bowl which sounds like a fun game to watch to me. Michigan isn't looking great against Purdue I think the trophy is going back to Athens again this year....

I'm ok with TN being where we r at. Gotta win the games you're "supposed" to win ie beating lower ranked underdogs, or at least not getting blown out by then. I understand Vol fans who are upset by Bama being ranked ahead of us, but truth be told I don't think it really matters. If USC loses then OSU will probably get their spot and any of the other top 3 losing will probably just drop their spot but not out of the top 4. And if the choice is playing K St in the sugar bowl or Clemson in the Orange, give me the Orange Bowl every time.

I agree, as much as it hurts to say. To that loss to SC was just too much. If it had been a close game I think I would see Tennessee as being ahead. And I honestly don't see TN as behind Bama but I understand why the committee put them there. The more I type the more I'm starting to change my mind tho honestly. Seeing SC ranked just a couple handfuls behind LSU, I dunno either way OSU is getting that last spot if USC loses so it's a moot point anyway

I was hoping to see TN land in a bowl with Ohio State I think that'd be fun to watch. Sounds like they're going to the Rose bowl though...

Also don't see TCU or USC getting dropped out even if they lose. Seeing as how they would only have the one loss. Unless it's by a bunch. In which case I suppose the committee could reevaluate who to send between them and Bama and TN. I obviously think TN should be ranked ahead of Bama what with the head to head and all..

I absolutely had some concerns as well but good to see the run game get going. Milton still with multiple overthrows per game. Some of them were 10 yards past everyone... Hope Heup can clean that up in the off-season, but he's had 2 years already...

I think all the blowback is because he threw a couple jabs in there that weren't really necessary...

Been some ups and downs this year. A lot more ups though. Losing out on the playoffs is tough, but I don't think any of us would trade the season we had if you'd asked us at the beginning of the year. Theae kinds of years when its unexpected are so much more fun! And it ain't done yet. Hoping for a Sugar bowl or Orange, don't see us dropping to the Cotton but I suppose it's possible if LSU wins next weekend. Still not sure why Bama and LSU were ranked ahead of us but hopefully with the way SC played today and the way we handled Vandy I can definitely see us jumping Clemson, Oregon, LSU, and hopefully Bama as well... Great win, great team, great year Vols!

Agreed. Not only did we beat Bama, but we also beat the only other team that beat Bama... Hopefully it'll work itself out in the wash but I'm not holding my breath. Still, NY6 bowl... I'll take it!
