O’Gara: Predicting a pivotal top 12 of the College Football Playoff
For real. It's late November and Jalen Milroe couldn't score against a bad team.
The fact that Bama is in anyone's conversation is a joke. When you're losing this late and can't score a touchdown on a team Mizzou smoked with DREW PYNE, you should be done if there is ANY justice in the world.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLLLLLLLLLLL
So... Mizzou absolutely sucks. Just garbage. And the team that barely beat them at home is awesome.
Ugh... Instead of talking about "wow, Drew Pyne really played a lot better than we thought he could" or "good job, Mizzou," or "that was one of the craziest second halves of football all year!" the talk is about Drink's comments *facepalm*
Naturally, the most Mizzou thing ever would be to be good enough to make it to the playoffs the year before the playoffs actually exist and then completely fall off the next year.
Finally, someone who actually watched the game it seems. Pyne did more to get Bama moving than Milroe did. And it was obvious that the playbook wasn't open for Cook even before the hand injury. Mizzou was never going to win, but even when Cook went out, the defense kept playing until it was obvious there was zero hope with Pyne. No D can play forever when the offense can't do more than 3-and-out. If Cook is truly out, Mizzou has already won its last game this year.
I know a school to the north that would be happy to take Weigman of aTm's hands at this point...
LCTiger75 Where they always are — that time machine that keeps everything perpetually in 1998
Y'all realize this column is for "overreacting," right? This isn't supposed to be full of the most level-headed takes possible.
Shoot, Mizzou would have to go 11-1. People be haaaaating... We did beat Vandy (which feels more and more like an accomplishment now) lol
Missouri was one bad-call and Drink-was-being-nice-at-the-end away from the Ohio State game being 28-3, and that OSU defense was full strength and trying...
Take it from a Mizzou fan: Telling the NCAA the truth about anything is the biggest sin of all.
This is why I roll my eyes at the "Midzou" themed comments I see. It's not like there some intrinsic or metaphysical reason that the current Bluebloods MUST forever and always be the only top teams. No, the reason is simple — they put more money into it and always have. And part of that is poaching TALENT from "mid" programs, whether they be players or coaches (which proves that talent comes from anywhere and everywhere and there's really nothing magical about living in the swamp called Baton Rouge or wherever that makes you better at football.) How about a "thank you for not offering as much money so we can hire your coach and then pretend like you're a horrible program" every once-in-a-while.
This would be a dumb move on their part with the expanded playoff coming. They might have the easiest path to top 12 every single year moving forward.
O’Gara: Why 2 things can be true at the same time for Georgia after Dylan Raiola flipped to Nebraska
Crazy to go somewhere with a personal connection! He definitely should have chosen to go spend his time with the very kind people of Florida, like you!
Good heavens! This is awful that these kids go to schools they have some sort of personal connection with instead of just going straight to Bama or Georgia forever and ever.
This is all TCU's fault for not being good enough last year.
My 2 cents... Would LSU be better or even have the same record if Nix was QB there? Methinks not.
Hold up... Ron's slam dunk argument is that in the one statistic of total passing yards, Nix has an avg. of 7.8yds per game more? Woowee that does it then. As long as you leave out all the rushing stats and TDs and QBR etc. etc.
I really hope Mizzou gets to play someone else as TX is coming to SEC next year. Playing a true/future non-con opponent would be more interesting than playing a former/future con opponent.
Now that's just hateful
There's nothing to buy/sell. They are great this year. End of story. Very few teams not named Georgia/Alabama are great year after year but it seems no one talks this way about them.
A rational response... Completely inappropriate and irrelevant to many-a-fanbase.
To Georgia's fans' credit, they actually could learn humility — a thing TN fans have been incapable of since 1998 no matter what.

Stop being perfectly reasonable. Fans like you are why Mizzou will never be accepted as truly SEC.
As Mizzou's historical luck would have it, this change is coming right after the year Mizzou would definitely be in.
Excuse me, sir, but do you have a lawn somewhere so I can get off of it? I say bring back no pads and leather helmets!
