Good grief, what an empty analysis. This sounds like something one of the token sideline babe reporters would say.
Right there with you on Texas A&M. What an embarrassment! Sumlin laughing and joking with players on sideline while mediocre Louisville runs all over them. Good grief, learn to play some defense.
Texas A&M is an embarrassment to the SEC. Go back to big 12 if you cant play defense.
Reggis Ball sucked and so did his team. Move along losers.
Texas A&M is an embarrassment to the SEC. SEC was 3-0 before the pathetic excuse of a defense could not stop Louisville QB. Good grief, go back to the big 12 where you belong.
Wow, Texas A&M is an embarrassment to the SEC. Absolutely horrible on defense. And the offense can do nothing with new QB. Well, we were 3 and 0 in bowls until Music City and TAM's pathetic play.
Good thoughts. The other thing I wonder about this year and last year's team was the apparent lack of emotion displayed during the game by our players. I sometimes wonder if Saban's serious, disciplined approach can squelch the level of emotion and limit the "fire in the belly" approach some teams use to their advantage. It still stands out to me that before the TAM game when the team was down, Saban lightened up a bit and told the players to have fun. And there they were dancing on the sidelines during the game while rolling to a 59-0 win. Some teams need this, some don't. RTR
Let's be honest about this team. The offense as a whole was limited by the skill set of our QB. The frequent screens, exclusive throwing to Amari, and general limits on what Blake could do allowed opposing teams to put more focus on our run game, which as a result, never hit a consistent stride. Amari is a great receiver, but a less limted QB would have distributed the ball more, and as a result Amari's numbers would have been much lower. The defense continued to suffer from the bad combination of non-aggressive/skilled DB play and weak pass rush. Overall, I think this team overacheived this year in winning the SEC. The only game we really dominated from start to finish was TAM, and we were fortunate not to have lost 1 or 2 more games. Here's hoping next year we have a less-limited QB, a healthy run option, some aggressiveness at DB, and a decent pass rush. RTR
