Are you really a State fan? Or do you just like giving Ole Miss some bulletin board material? And no, I do not like Ole Miss at all!!! But I hope they do fairly well every year. It is more fun beating them when they think they are good! It's about time the Egg Bowl means something more than Mississippi bragging rights. Hail State!!!

I don't think money is as much of a problem for either State or Ole Miss any more. As long as Mullen and his wife are happy in Starkville, it would be hard to pry them out of there. Same for Freeze and his wife. Money helps, but it is not everything. Plus with both programs on the rise, why would either want to go to a program in turmoil? Sometimes people do realize that enough money is enough. It's kind of hard to spend the amount of money they are both making in Mississippi anyway. I believe they both love their universities.

As for Mullen leaving for Florida, fat chance. Why would he leave a school where he finally has HIS team and go to one that is in turmoil. I've also heard Freeze would be going to Florida. I say fat chance there too.

Being a Mississippi State fan, I can remember when Ole Miss and Mississippi State got the best recruits in our state and Southern Mississippi got all the leftovers. Then Southern proceeded to whip both our butts. It doesn't always matter who has the best recruiting class, it matters most how they are coached and developed. It seems both Ole Miss and State are doing a better job of player development at the moment. I do hope both State and Ole Miss remain unbeaten to play in the Egg Bowl. It will not be easy for either of us, but it can be done. Then I'll be glad to bring the Egg back to Starkville for another year. This is hard to say for a State fan, but good luck Ole Miss. Remain unbeaten and pull for us to remain unbeaten also. The Egg Bowl will be one heck of a game. But first things first. Auburn and TAMU, you two are next.
