Good for Tubby. The 2003 team played some of the best team basketball I’ve ever seen but had the unfortunate luck of running into Dwayne Wade.
I've disliked 90% of the branding changes they've made in the last decade. Don't even get me started on the new logo (that is now five years old). It still looks weird five years later. The checkerboard looks a lot better on the footall unis than the basketball ones, but I can't not associate checkerboard with UT, no matter the color. But my opinion doesn't matter a bit if the players/students like them, so I try to keep an open mind.
How did Georgia fans boo James Brown and not get cursed for like a hundred years? this is the best thing I’ve read on this site.
Georgia or Bama would probably do it, but I don’t see us storming the field again for some time.
BC gets more credit for beating one SEC team than Kentucky does for beating two. It’s laughable.
The family has been very private about what happened (in fact this is the first time I’ve seen an article call it a stroke instead of a medical issue), so it is difficult to know. Here’s hoping he makes a full recovery.
Kentucky has a pretty good record in Starkville in the 2000s, but that was when MSU was pretty bad. 100% agree about the cowbells. I think if MSU ever unexpectedly beats Bama at home, Saban will work his magic and they’ll ban the cowbells the following season. Always seemed like an unfair advantage to me.
I think we win one that no one expects (maybe Florida?) and drop MSU. Never seem to play well there in recent memory. I blame the cow bells.
2007 TN should definitely be on the list, even more so than the 2018 loss. Whatever year that UK was on the 1 to win and we didn’t give it to Cobb could be on here to. I wasn’t that annoyed by the WKU win because they’re WKU and it was clear at that point that Joker wasn’t working out. Honestly the mercy rule lightning delay game versus Arkansas was pretty bad as well. Also Southern Miss. This list could be a mile long the more I think about it.
