Bigger than a rivalry: Florida takes out ad in Tallahassee Democrat to thank FSU personnel for quick Keyontae Johnson response

A couple of weeks ago, Florida star forward Keyontae Johnson collapsed on the court early during a game against Florida State.

Fortunately, after several days of being in the hospital, Johnson has been released, according to the latest updates.

The Gators took the time on Wednesday to put an ad in the Tallahassee Democrat thanking those who responded to Johnson in the immediate aftermath of his collapse:

That’s a classy gesture from the Gators, as both the Gators and Seminoles have shown this situation goes well beyond the pettiness of a rivalry.

Hopefully, Johnson continues to recover. Fans on both sides of the rivalry are rooting for him!
