Billy Napier spoke with reporters on Wednesday ahead of the Florida State game and updated them on Ricky Pearsall’s status.

“We anticipate Ricky being ready to go,” Napier said.

That is especially good news for the Gators considering the injury status of Xzavier Henderson and Justin Shorter who are out with lower-body injuries, along with Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman and Marcus Burke who are out with upper-body injuries. Pearsall himself was considered questionable with an upper body injury.

“We’ve been in this situation in the past,” Napier said. “Caleb Douglas has stepped up for us, Ja’Quavion Fraziars obviously had an opportunity. We anticipate Ricky Pearsall being ready and Dae Dae had a big day last week… it’s a great opportunity.”

On defense, the Gators’ leading tackler Rashad Torrence II available, and while Ventrell Miller is listed as a starter, he’ll miss the first half because of a targeting ejection.

H/T Edgar Thompson.
