A name that will bring positive thoughts to Florida fans is set to return to the Florida roster. Twice.

Former Texas WR Jordan Pouncey and his brother, top-100 cornerback Ethan Pouncey have committed to Florida, they announced in a video by Shooters Touch Films. Their older cousins are the Pouncey twins, Maurkice and Mike, who were on the Gators’ 2008 national championship team before they became first-round picks in the NFL Draft.

“The dream of playing together really started when we started playing football,” one brother said in the video. “The first thing we got really excited about was playing high school football together. The fact that we have a chance to play college football together, it feels like our teams have been manifested.”

Jordan played in 8 games this season for Texas and made 2 catches for 19 yards. A one-time Notre Dame commitment, Jordan Pouncey committed to the Longhorns prior to National Signing Day in 2017, making him one of the first recruits to give the Herman regime a verbal commitment, Horns247 reported.

Ethan is a 4-star prospect from Winter Park, Florida, has a reported 21 offers, according to 247Sports. He’s listed at 6-foot-1 and 160 pounds and is the No. 10 cornerback recruit in the 2020 class, and No. 24-ranked player in Florida.
