Bruce Feldman insists Florida job may not be as ‘attractive’ as Missouri, Ole Miss

Bruce Feldman, who reports on college football for The Athletic and FOX, said Saturday morning that while calls to fire Billy Napier from Florida are everywhere from the Gator faithful, it may not happen this season.
Why? Well, it’s complicated. Feldman cited the College Football Playoff as a reason for more coaches to be locked in with their players, whereas in the past they’ve just had to deal with “insignificant” bowl games that they can miss to go be with their new team.
Of course, the idea is that Florida would be targeting someone like Eli Drinkwitz or Lane Kiffin, who may be in the CFP this season themselves.
But even there, would Kiffin and Drinkwitz leave their current situations at Ole Miss and Missouri? According to Feldman, probably not. He insists that “people inside the business” see Florida as a less attractive job compared to Mizzou or Ole Miss.

The Gators face off against Mississippi State Saturday after losses to Texas A&M and Miami to start the year. The Bulldogs have struggled mightily this season, perhaps best illustrated by their loss to Toledo in Starkville last weekend.
