Florida DL to miss remainder of 2023 season, per social media post
Florida defensive lineman Jack Pyburn announced on social media Monday that he will miss the final 3 games of the regular season and Florida’s potential bowl game after tearing his ACL Saturday against Arkansas.
Pyburn started in place of Tyreak Sapp, who missed Week 10 against the Razorbacks.
Here’s Pyburn’s social media post announcing the unfortunate news.
Thank you to everyone for the prays and well wishes after Saturdays game. Unfortunately the injury I received on Saturday is a season ending tear to my ACL. I can promise y’all one thing and that is I will be back soon and better than ever. Love this team and my brothers??? pic.twitter.com/0RXNZ6SEjI

The Gators’ defensive front is definitely a weakness for right now as the group navigates injuries. It comes at a rough stretch for the Gators, who need just one more win to crack bowl eligibility.
They’ll have to find a win over LSU, Mizzou or Florida State to go bowling without APR help. However, Mississippi State is also in danger of going 5-7 and is above Florida on the APR scale.
