The committee obviously wasn’t thrilled with how Florida booked its trip to Atlanta on Homecoming.

The Gators fell one spot to No. 11 in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings released on Tuesday night. Florida is coming off a closer-than-expected 9-7 win over Vanderbilt to clinch the SEC East title and a berth in the conference championship game. It’s the Gators’ first trip to Atlanta since 2009.

LSU, the only team to defeat Florida this season, dropped from No. 2 to No. 9 after its 30-16 loss to Alabama last Saturday. Meanwhile, the Tide took the Tigers spot, rising from No. 4 to No. 2.

Florida finishes up its SEC regular season slate at South Carolina this Saturday before returning to The Swamp to face in-state foes Florida Atlantic and Florida State.

The top 4 teams in the final CFP rankings will be released at noon ET on Dec. 6, and those teams will play for the national championship.
