The Florida quarterback situation between Emory Jones and Anthony Richardson will not carry over to the Billy Napier era.

According to a report from Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports, Jones plans to enter the transfer portal, though he will plan to play in the bowl game. Jones led Florida in passing and rushing, with 2,563 yards passing, and 19 touchdowns to go along with 696 yards rushing, and 4 touchdowns. But fans for much of the season clamored for Richardson, and much to their chagrin, former coach Dan Mullen continued to start Jones.

As Thamel noted, Joens has 2 years of eligibility remaining after he started 11 games this past regular season.

Jones is willing to go anywhere in the country and is looking for “a place that develops me and prepares me for the next level,” Thamel added in his report.
