Jacob Copeland is off to the Big Ten. After 4 seasons at Florida, Copeland is transferring to Maryland.

Copeland, who played in Thursday’s Gasparilla Bowl despite having his name in the transfer portal, announced his commitment to the Terrapins on Friday.

Copeland was rated the No. 12 wide receiver and No. 69 prospect overall in the class of 2018 on the 247Sports Composite. The Escambia (Pensacola, Florida) standout chose UF over Alabama and Tennessee. Current Maryland head coach Mike Locksley was Alabama’s primary recruiter for Copeland at that time.

The 2021 campaign was Copeland’s most productive season at Florida. He caught 41 passes for 642 yards and 4 touchdowns as a redshirt junior.
